Learn-to-Row course, first session

Six Saturday mornings, from land drills to your first outing in a coxed four. Places are limited to twelve.
Head of the Ember
River Ember, 4 km course
Our autumn time-trial race, open to visiting clubs. Volunteers for marshalling and the tea tent are very welcome.

Coxing workshop
Boathouse, training room
Steering, calls and safety on the water for new and returning coxes. Includes a short outing on the lower stretch.
Annual General Meeting
Clubroom
Review of the season, the accounts and the board election. Papers are sent to members two weeks in advance.

Winter Sculls time trial
River Ember, 2 km course
Single and double sculls against the clock. A friendly benchmark for the winter training block.
Mince-pie paddle and social
Boathouse and clubroom
A gentle mixed-crew paddle followed by warm drinks and pies in the clubroom. Families welcome.

New Year's Row
Pontoon
Start the year on the water. Crews are made up on the day; soup is served afterwards.
Indoor ergometer challenge
Boathouse, erg room
Relay and individual races on the rowing machines, with categories for every age and ability.

Boat maintenance day
Boat bay
Rigging checks, hull repairs and a good clean before spring. Many hands make light work; lunch is provided.

A full day of technique sessions, video feedback and games for junior members aged 12 to 17.

Side-by-side sprint racing for crews from across the region. The biggest day of our year.
